Will Roland sweeps CRUSA Ice Bowl weekend to open 2024 season
Kicking off his 2024 season on the first weekend of January, Will Roland invaded Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday afternoon for night one of the 33rd-running of the Ice Bowl.
With a strong field of 36 Crate Racin' USA Late Models on the premises, Roland shot to the top of his qualifying group and picked up the victory in his heat race later on in the evening.
Earning the pole for Saturday's $4,000-to-win showdown, Will quickly moved into the top spot and led flag-to-flag in the 40-lap affair to score the victory. Roland outlasted Tyler Millwood and Matt Henderson on a late restart to record his first victory of the year.
Roland currently leads the Crate Racin' USA Winter Series point standings.
